Launch your career as a cardiographic technician. Learn the basics of cardiac anatomy and physiology, patient preparation, EKG placement and monitoring, and basic arrhythmias. Successful completion of EKG Technician Training I and II prepares students to sit for the Certified Cardiographic Technician Examination offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Prerequisites: Professional Preparation in Healthcare AHE-196; Medical Terminology for Health Careers AHE-149 (online course Medical Terminology: A Word Association Approach AHE-044 also accepted); Anatomy and Physiology for Health Careers AHE-282 (online course Human Anatomy and Physiology AHE-650 also accepted); and must have a current AHA BLS Provider CPR card.
