Launch your career as an EKG Technician. Learn the basics of cardiac anatomy and physiology, patient preparation, EKG placement and monitoring, arrhythmias, stress testing, Holter monitoring and telemetry monitoring. Successful completion of this course prepares you for the Certified EKG Technician (CET) certification exam offered through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). You will have 3 months to complete 31 hours of curriculum. To qualify for the CET exam, you will also need to perform 10 live EKGs through a local medical office or hospital.
