UAS (Drone) Safety Management

Operating a drone safely is vital to becoming a remote pilot. This course will introduce students to a safety management system. Focus on the four pillars of the system: safety policy, safety risk management, safety assurance and safety promotion. Learn how to incorporate these principles in a sUAS program or company. Students will be prepared to take the USI Small UAS Safety Certification exam offered on campus. This is a hybrid course with an online and in-person component. E-book and exam voucher included in course cost. Prerequisite: Currently enrolled in the Commercial (UAS) Drone Pilot Workforce Training Certificate or FAA Remote Pilot.
