This course is one in a series designed for prospective child care teachers and directors working with school age children and provides instruction on developing career skills in child care curriculum planning. This certification course satisfies the curriculum half of the MSDE requirement of 90 hours of training for child care teachers, direc-tors and coordinators working with school age children, and provides an overview of program organization, planning and implementation of school age care for chil-dren in a before/after school setting. Topics include curriculum planning, materials and teaching methods appropriate for children ages 6-13. Can be taken as a credit or non-credit course.
