Sixty percent of Carroll students report feeling isolated—loneliness that shows up as disengagement and withdrawal in our classrooms. In this experiential session, we’ll explore research on belonging and student success, hear the Carroll student perspective, and engage in reflective, interactive activities. Faculty will leave with practical strategies to foster connection and belonging across face-to-face and asynchronous online courses—transforming classrooms into spaces where students feel seen, supported, and motivated to engage. Prerequisites: Curiosity and an open mind. Willingness to be tech free during the session.
