« back to classes page
The 250th anniversary of the American Revolution has arrived, and those events of so long ago still shape the way we think about governments, freedoms, rights, and what sort of a nation we really are. Explore how, after initial setbacks and struggles, the United States won our war of independence, including international dimensions of the war and the establishment of new political institutions, culminating in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. How did these former subjects of a British king develop a democratic republic that still endures into the 21st Century? And what is the true meaning of the American Revolution for Americans and the world today?
