This professional development course is for current Carroll Community College employees.

Pre-requisite: Microsoft Digital Accessibility is a prerequisite for this class.  You must have completed or be scheduled to complete a section of Microsoft Digital Accessibility (CPD-111) prior to this class beginning.  Concurrent enrollment in both Canvas and Microsoft Digital Accessibility is not allowed.

The focus of this microcredential is to create content in Canvas that is equally available to as many as possible, including those with disabilities and aligns with Carroll Community College's mission to "provide accessible, high-quality educational opportunities."

Competencies: After completing this microcredential, you should be able to:

1.Explain the rationale for digital accessibility.
2.Apply appropriate strategies to create digitally accessible content in Canvas and/or Microsoft applications.
3.Use a digital accessibility checker to confirm compliance.
