Commercial Truck Driver

CDL-A training prepares you to be a professional tractor-trailer driver in a 240-hour program. Experienced instruction includes classroom sessions, range maneuvering and on-the-road driving in state-of-the-industry equipment. The course is offered in a weekday (8 week) and weekend (15 week) format. Students must hold a valid MD CDL-A Learner’s Permit with air brake endorsement prior to registering for the course.

CDL-B with Passenger training prepares you to operate straight heavy trucks (i.e., +26,000 lbs. GVW). This 65-hour course prepares students to test for a Maryland CDL-B from the MVA. The training also prepares for the Passenger endorsement so completers can apply for transit or motor coach positions. Note: the training does not include the “S” endorsement required to drive a school bus. This course is offered on Saturdays. Students must hold a valid MD CDL-B Learner’s Permit with air brake and Passenger endorsement prior to registering for the course.

Important Cost Information:

  • Carroll County residents: DEDUCT $10 per course
  • Maryland Non-Carroll County residents: DEDUCT $5 per course
  • Maryland Senior Adults: pay fees only. Fees are detailed in the shopping cart and on your receipt.
