Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson could not have had more different backgrounds, nor could they have taken more different routes to the White House. Yet both changed America by invigorating the office of the President through strong executive leadership. Learn how each achieved progressive reforms aimed at eliminating the unsavory aspects of “Gilded Age” American capitalism. Discover the strengths and weaknesses of the two men in terms of their personalities, their ability to inspire people, how they dealt with Congress and their policies related to World War I.
