Train for a career in medical coding and billing and learn the specialized skills needed to assign the standardized codes used to bill for healthcare services in medical offices and hospitals. Prepare for three national certification exams: AHIMA’s Certified Coding Associate (CCA), AAPC’s Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and AAPC’s Certified Outpatient Coder (COC). In addition to personalized instructor and graduate support, students receive e-books, industry codebooks, access to online references, a one-year AHIMA student membership and a voucher for one of the national certification exams. Career Step has partnered with RCM Health Care Services to increase both remote and traditional employment opportunities for students completing this training. You will have 12 months to complete 390 - 445 hours of curriculum. 390 hours prepares learner for both the CPC and COC national certification exams.
