« back to classes page
This redesigned introductory course is intentionally focused on Microsoft Copilot, the College-endorsed AI tool available to Carroll employees. Tailored for non-technical professionals, this session emphasizes practical, hands-on use of Copilot within the Microsoft 365 suite—including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel—to support everyday tasks. Through guided instruction, live demonstrations, and collaborative practice activities using your own work samples, participants will learn how Copilot can assist with drafting communications, analyzing information, organizing content, and accelerating routine tasks. The course also covers ethical use of AI in a college setting, including data privacy, FERPA considerations, and responsible application of AI in employee and student interactions.

What to Bring to Class:
  • A laptop, fully charged
  • Eight writing samples that reflect your voice (e.g., paste emails you’ve written into a single Word document; remove personal identifying information (PII) and any confidential/sensitive content)
  • Your job description saved as a digital file (not printed)
