This course introduces students to the foundational skills needed for entry?level work in the pet grooming industry. Through hands?on practice and guided instruction, students learn safe animal handling, bathing and drying techniques, basic coat care, and proper nail and ear maintenance. Students are responsible for securing dogs for mandatory skill practice. The course emphasizes professionalism, animal welfare, and workplace readiness, preparing students for more advanced grooming coursework.
